Review summary

msc was a nice cruise for us. the price was fair. and the value was there. i would and did book another cruise on this line. the food is okay if compared to rcl or celebrity or carnival ti will rate them just okay, fair food . With the bread being an exception which was what i expect from a European ship and the pizza was a little better then most. also the pasta was at most mediocre and for some reason many rated it as exceptional which wasn't my experience. the ethenic station was mostly indian no real greek or even italian quisine or french which i was expecting. i liked the fact they had foos ball and paddle ball for the kids and they had many other activities but some were extra like bowling which was very expensive and not popular. i wish they had more showing of movies in the theater that only was once on our cruise and an older movie at that. but i wish they had a showing daily. i did not see the 3 d theater but i would never pay for 3 d theater on my cruise i'll save that for my everyday life at home and not on my cruise. since they charge extra for this. i requested to have a pitcher of water delivered to my cabin cause i forgot my drink bottle and husband his a medical problem and they said they couldn't do this??? which was a disappointment.

the buffet was the same every day. it had a nice salad bar and the bread best in the cruise industry the deli was very nice they made your sandwich for you which was nice touch. the dinning room was good we went on 3 days and enjoyed everything but the lobster bisque which had no lobster. the gala night was a very nice dinner of lobster tail and tenderloin.

i was so thankful to recieve a upgrade for free. We were given a balcony cabin and enjoyed sipping my wine on the balcony that was A VERY NICE Thing FOR BOTH MSC PR PEOPLE AND MY TA TO GIVE THIS TO US. YES WE WILL DEFINATELY CRUISE THEM AGAIN IN FACT VERY SHORTLY.

Ship tip

well one thing that was an unexpected pleasure is i had no drink package . it would not be something that my husband would enjoy since he drinks maybe 3 drinks on our cruise. In the dining room they had specil discount on good wines which was very afffordable for us and we purchased enough for our cruise. Hope they do this again on our next cruise. thank you

we loved the buffet and the island undisturbed scenery was amazing especially for people who do not live in a tropical climate or by the sea shore. they will love this overnight stay.

Cozumel, Mexico

Cozumel is a great port to book excursions from parasailing to the snorkeling excursions they are very organized because its and old port and they had a lot of time to make things things go smoothly and they do go smoothly. the excursions are plentiful even if you don't have a plan you can make last minute decisions but book as soon as you get off the ship they will be waiting for you.
