Our first MSC cruise and it did not disappoint. Thanks MSC.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
One of the smoothest Port Canaveral embarkations to date.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Main dining: We chose not to eat at our assigned dining due to table location and temperature of room (hot) almost unbearable. We said something the first night and wrote it off due to “first night chaos” returning for night two it was the same.
Buffet: We found ourselves eating at the buffet every night due to our issues at assigned dining and I do not regret my decision one bit, very surprised in the quality of food served. And that held true for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Specialty restaurants: We didn’t try any. We priced some of their packages and they were fairly priced.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
We didn’t do a lot around the ship, but what we did was enjoyable. Pools and water slides get a thumbs up from me.
My four stars is due to an almost nonexistent arcade, wish they had a little more.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Room steward was awesome. Buffet staff was great too. Bar staff could use some additional training, whether a crowd or not they seemingly picked whoever they wanted to serve with no order.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship was clean, my four star rating is based on ship layout. There were hallways that ended without notice, doors not clearly marked as to where they go and made you feel as if you’re about to enter a restricted area. I guess it really doesn’t matter, if they don’t want me in an area, they’ll put a sign on the door. 😆
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was ok but closet layout was located next to bed and almost unusable. Bathroom shower was awkwardly small too. Definitely not a dealbreaker though.
Ship tip
Take a little time and learn the ship layout, lots of stuff to do and a lot of stuff you could miss not knowing.
Awesome! Thanks for the review!! Thought the same thing about the arcade especially since I had the fun pass!! But the ship is nice and a fun time can be had! Glad you enjoyed!!
