Review summary

Not a bad cruise. Love the availability of the interactive screens for making show or dinner reservations. I thought the ship could be a little more user friendly. It was like a maze trying to find your way around. Maybe arrows pointing the way to the restaurants might help. I heard other passengers saying the same thing. Also, maybe it would have been a good idea to make mention of the time change at the emergency safety meeting. Grateful to Melanie for pointing that out. We missed a few shows because of it. Although my cousin wasn't charged for her excursion due to her illness, I was only credited half. I thought that to be insensitive. How could I go off and leave her. The doctor and nurse did an outstanding job when she got ill...we were very pleased.

Service and Staff

It's said that a company's most valued asset are its employees. I couldn't agree more. My cousin and I took this cruise and we were very impressed with all the staff we encountered. Always friendly, personable and helpful. Our room steward Melanie Tan is truly an asset to your organization. She went above and beyond from the first day. This was my first time cruising and she took the time to explain everything including accessing info via the tv. She was always pleasant, very friendly and when my cousin took sick as she came down with Gastroenteritis, Melanie was very concerned and totally disinfected our cabin. She would also check in on her well being from time to time. We really appreciated that. Melanie is definitely a keeper. Love her!!!

Love the cabin and the design. It was spacious and practical. Enjoyed the balcony and spent quite a bit of time there.

The ship got in at 5pm and it got dark quickly. Not enough time for sightseeing.

Had to cancel our excursion as my cousin took ill. We did get out for a little and what we saw was quite good. Sorry we missed the excursion it would have good to see some of the island.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Very disappointing tour. We docked and our excursion was supposed to be for 3hrs but our bus had air conditioning trouble and we left late. it was very rushed there after and we had to get back to the ship. It would have helped if we were staying longer. The ship docked at 7am and left at 2pm.

All in all not a bad tour, except it rained.

We loved the Seaside but I will agree about the layout. There are not any clear pathways to get from one end to the other.
