Beautiful ship with lots of space to relax and enjoy the sun, the food was excellent and the specialty restaurants (although expensive) were exceptional and well worth the extra cost. The inclusive drinks package was good but consider upgrading which was well worth it for us. The pools were full of children’s so we couldn’t use. The upgraded areas (yacht club, airea...) were exclusive but costly. Consider it though as you will get better service. Standard Service overall was lacking and the ship was already looking older then its 10 month in operation.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food was excellent. The drinks were mostly well made although the bars were understaffed (like every other area of the ship) and the bartenders new at their jobs, so long waits for service.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
No library, no games, mostly trivia although their themed nights were fun and the MSC master chef was terrific.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The eneterment staff were talented but the shows were the same concept every night with no headliners. The comedy troupe were talented but again same improve concept. Seen it once you’ve seen it all. Saving grace was the readers digest version of the opera (madam) butterfly.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Wow, they need help with this. Some staff were excellent and most others were new or non existent. They must be having trouble finding staff because the inexperienced ones need lots of training and the experience ones seem overwhelmed.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship is beautiful, new and lots of fun amenities. Overall though the ship seemed dirty and much older then its 10 months in service. Our cabin was not clean when we arrived and it took management action to get it in shape within 24 hours - but the first night sleep was ruined as the bathroom was dirty, big yellow stain on our duvet, finger nail clippings on the floor and on the balcony.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Slightly small balcony because of location and cutoff from next door suite. Room was filthy when we arrived but after deep clean on day two (with managers assistance) the room was kept relatively clean thereafter. The cabin steward complained how he had to handle 20 rooms on his own and hasn’t been sleeping. Wake up call MSC - hire more staff of find more experienced people
Ship tip
If you need to change dinner times do it as soon as you board as the lines to see the Maitre d become excessive. If you want t use the slides, make sure you get an wrist band before you stand in the line for the slide. If you upgrade the drinks package do it as soon as you. Aired at one of the bars as reception wont do it.
