The staff was untrained, the ship amenities were often out of service. Even the hours of operation differed from what their "High Tech" MSC Me app stated. The Cruise Directory stated on day one that MSC was breaking into the Americas market! This was our 4th Inaugural cruise, 20 plus cruises total and rates as our worst cruise ever.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Smooth except the itinerary said Terminal G while the ship was at Terminal F.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
MSC uses the Mediterranean Buffet as a main dining room. They close up the buffet lines, add white table clothes and waiters and poof, "Fine Dining". Nothing like stainless steel to bring out the ambiance of a cruise.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Many of the common activities like Jacuzzi's were "Under Maintenance" the entire cruise.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The first two days were repetitive but the last 5 were very good.
Children's Programs
Didn't bring any kids, but there weree plenty of other peoples running around unconterolled and in adult areas like the casino.
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
Bar staff had to go back to port (I think Miami) for every order, very, very, very slow.
Maintenance was busy fixing things "Under Maintenance". It took 4 days for them to repair a balcony door that was howling and screeching while the ship was underway. I am still waiting for Customer Service to respond to the problem from Day 1.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Another ship that doesn't allow you to move from Bow to Stern on a single floor. You have to move down to a cabin floor to get to the opposite end of the ship. Dodging stewards along the way.
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
Howling and screeching wind sound for 4 days. This is also an Obstructed view that they don't mention, as it has a giant propeller to look at off the balcony. It is also where the crew parties late night on holidays.
Ship tip
Wait, wait, wait before you book MSC. There is no way this ship or crew was ready for the Inaugural trip out of Miami.
Went on inaugural cruise , sure there were a few things that had to be tweeted but overall a great cruise loved every minute had no problems with staff enjoyed very much
