As the price paid for this cruise was reasonable, especially as the ship is brand new, the overall experience was good.
Not sure if I would recommend MSC to many solo travellers as "anytime dining" was not available and language barriers often prevent ease of conversation.

Deck 8 buffet for breakfast and lunch - good selection of food. Well organized, clean, good service.
Deck 16 evening buffet - not a pleasant experience. Noisy, poor choice of food, unattractive venue.
Evening meals in the dining room not up to the standards of other cruise lines, both in selection of foods, service and presentation.

Excellent selection of dance/aerobics session with fantastic, competent and personable instructors, Patricia and Leo.
All the entertainment staff interacted with guests really well to ensure they enjoyed the events.

In the Main Theatre, classical music and opera was featured too frequently.

Too much separation of "classes". Poor use of what could have been a great promenade on Deck 8.

Why no international news channels available on tv for so many days? Especially as the ship neared the US.

Make sure you ask for the "Loyalty Match" program when BOOKING you cruise!
Don't set expectations too high regarding food and personal service, it is not up to the standards of many other cruise lines. Realize that the majority of your fellow passengers may not speak English.
