Review summary

The MSC Cruise was AMAZING. We love sailing with MSC because of the value but you also get a great cruise experience.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was quick and easy. We showed up at the port, dropped off our bags and parked. The security line was the only line we encountered. It was about 10 minutes long. There was a separate line for Yacht Club but not for Aurea priority embarkation guests. We showed up at the port at 12pm and were on the ship by 12:40pm.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food that we had was good, but unfortunately, there is not a lot of variety to choose from. For complimentary eats, there is the one buffet and the main dining room. It would be nice to have other quick serve food locations to grab a snack.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There are a lot of pools on this ship and a wonderful water park. This ship also has the best thermal spa that I have ever experienced on a ship. I really loved the thermal spa area.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The musicians on this ship were great. I didn't see any other the shows, but other people seemed to love them.

Children's Programs

We did not have any childrem with us. So, We don't know anything about these programs on the ship.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The waiters and bartenders were awesome and knew exactly what we wanted. We rarely saw our room steward, but that is typical for MSC.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was beautiful and well maintained. I loved the very modern design. There are plenty of things to do inside and outside on the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The Hot Tub Suite is HUGE. We loved all of the space. We had a walkin closet, a full size bath tub, a full size sofa and chair that converted to a bed, our 'king' size bed and 2 sitting chairs. Our balcony had a hot tub large enough for 2 people, 2 chairs and a small table.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
Port Canaveral is extremely easy to get in and out of. We love it. It's about 45 minutes from the Orlando Airport (MCO)

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

5 out of 5
This is our absolute favorite place to go. The island is awesome. You can do some really good snorkeling or you can just hang out at the beach or swim in the calm lagoon. The food at the buffet was good but the lines get long fast.

Belize City, Belize

5 out of 5
We did the reef, sharks and rays snorkeling excursion. This was absolutely amazing. Cay Calker was also great. We didn't spend any time at the port, so we can't comment on the cruise port itself. My advice would be to take a water taxi to Cay Calker if you aren't doing an excursion.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

3 out of 5
The port itself is good as long as it's not too crowded. It was WAY too crowded. There were 4 large ships in port (one was Harmony of the Seas).

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We docked at Punta Langosta. This port is awesome because you are so close to downtown Cozumel. We walked to the main square and stayed around there. We found an awesome restaurant about 2 blocks away from the square called Burritos Gorditas that was amazing.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was well organized and was quick. Since we parked so close, we didn't have to walk far and got out in no time.
