Overall, this cruise was very disappointing! The food was terrible at the buffet and terrible in the dining rooms. Bad cafeteria quality at best. Some things were not cooked well and many people were sick on this ship. They did not enforce hand washing or hand Sanitizer upon entry to the buffet and many people handled the serving spoons and tongs. Very unsanitary and very poor food quality.

I have sailed on over 50 cruises and nearly every cruise line including Carnival, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, MSC, Holland America, Virgin and more. This was by far the worst food of any ship I have ever sailed on!

The ship was clean. The ship was too large and was not well designed. It was hard to navigate your way around the ship.

Cabin was small and not cleaned well. Upon arrival in our cabin, we found a pack of cigarettes sitting on the shelf. We also had a large stain on the sofa cushion.
Ship tip
Don't expect good food! You will also need to use the stairs a lot as the elevator took up to 30 minutes wait because the ship is so overcrowded.
We were on the Jan 5 cruise and loved the whole thing. After reading all the poor reviews we were a little worried, but we had no problems at all. There were some long lines boarding the ship but it wasn't a big deal. They had to shut the checking in process down a bit while waiting for a few stragglers from the previous sailing to disembark. The waiting room had all the people it could safely hold. Once boarding started it went very quickly. We all were happy with the food in the Central Park dining room. Portions were smaller than what many Americans seem to prefer, but the food was fine. Bartenders and servers were all very friendly to us. It was a cheap cruise. All our expectations were exceeded. With realistic expectations, MSC is fine. The long lines move quickly. When disembarking, we were off the ship and in our car by 730 and home by 8AM. We cruise a lot and I'm sure we will go back on MSC at some point. Sorry so many people don't manage to enjoy themselves when on a cruise. We never have a bad time on any cruise no matter the weather, the crowds, or the itinerary and sure there are occassional hiccups but we always make the most of it.
