Review summary

MSC Staff was not forthright when it came to providing complete info at booking, was told we needed to bring own distilled water for CPAP and that a plug was available at bedside. Later, on ship when we noted this was a chance to evaluate MSC for future European cruises but wouldn't be able to get water through TSA was told that distilled water was available but didn't want to provide it unless they needed to. No plug at bedside, needed extension cord (refundable $30 on day of disembarkation at guest services). Price is only thing they have going for this cruise line.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
very good even though we arrive outside our designated window of time

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Main Dining room - waiters attentive, food was inconsistent ranging from poor to very good (1 occasion). Buffet - long lines all the time, food quality left much to be desired. Only location on ship to get water/iced tea if you didn't have a drink package

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Theatre shows were excellent, cabaret and comedy were so-so

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Room attendant was great, bar tenders were slow to serve and not at all generous with pours.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Staff was constantly cleaning, ship layout with only water available on 16th deck was disappointing

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were upgraded to a balcony cabin (Room 13038) and we really enjoyed the balcony when weather allowed.

Ports of call

I've always got bottled water from the bars and they never asked for my card.

Any bar / server will give you ice water if you ask.

I'm pretty sure any bar will give you a glass of water!
