Review summary

Very disappointed in this cruise. Met several other cruisers that agreed that MSC does not understand the American audience. Ship was beautiful but staff was mostly rude and not well trained. Food options were severely lacking and tasteless.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
Rude employees at counter and confusing directions given.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Incredibly bad food and very few options available. Even the extra pay options were not good. Staff at restaurants seemed brand new and disorganized. No one understood the very confusing drink packages. Wait time at the bars and coffee counters was long and the bartenders were overworked and not equipped with proper training.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Fitness center was very nice.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Performers were very good and talented but few options available.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Mostly rude and not engaging. Most of the staff seemed confused and not trained. However, our room steward was awesome so we had one good service experience.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was beautiful and clean but layout was awkward and confusing.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our balcony room was great. Although bathroom was very small compared to other brands.

Ship tip

Avoid MSC. Much better cruising options available for the same amount of money.
