Review summary

Beware the extra charges to get to the port locations! I've never seen a cruise line charge you to get off the boat and into the ports of call. And the cities are far (30+ minutes by public transportation)

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Pretty easy. No long lines, we got on the ship pretty quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The dining room dinner experience was ok. There are set dining times (6, 8 and 10). I didn't like that. They make you order everything (appetizers, main course and dessert) all at once. I didn't like that. The food itself was ok, nothing to write home about, but we didn't starve either. The buffet was poorly laid out, and extremely crowded (it's a big ship and with the poor layout people are just piling up on each other).

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Loved the exercise classes by the pool, and the master chef competition was a lot of fun. The pools and hot tubs were nice, but also very busy. All in all, these were all enjoyable.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
These were all good. However. People be warned- all announcements and show introductions are made in 5 languages (English, Spanish, Italian, French and German) which takes time and gets boring after a while, especially since the shows are 45 minutes and the introductions are 10 of those minutes.

Children's Programs

No kids with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters, room stewards and other ship personnel were all great, very friendly, accommodating, and very nice.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Didn't find enough bathrooms in public spaces, buffet had a bad design (as discussed above). There was nice outdoor space on many levels, which was nice. The ship felt clean, but the sinks by the buffet never had soap, which is a real problem.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Lots of storage space, nice balcony, very comfortable.

Ship tip

Don't expect an amazing experience, but it can be a very nice one of you are accepting of the faults.
