Review summary

Super modern ship with good food and entertainment. Nice itinerary, beautiful beaches. Service was not the best, they need more/better trained people.

Embarkation

Slow compared to European ports.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dinning room was good. Steak was offered on the everyday menu and people at our table appreciated it very much. Buffet was OK, but many times the food was cold. There were certain times of the day, where there was no food service anywhere. We had cruised with other lines and they offer food 24/7. If you wanted to eat something late, the only thing was pizza. Bars were extremely slow, severely understaffed. MSC does a fantastic job selling their 'drink packages' but they don't have enough personnel to serve customers efficiently. Not matter where, pool, club, private island, there was always a long line at the bar. The private island was the worst, lines were 20 minutes long.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Infinity pool at the end of the ship: adults only - no music, made the difference for us. White party by the pool was fun, with Activity Director Bastos making it a super dance event!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows with acrobats were fantastic, singing shows were OK. Shout out to Activity Director Bastos, that guy can dance, entertain people and keep then engaged. Shout also to "Off the records on the rocks' band. Their shows were amazing, they should had have daily shows.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
As mentioned before, the ship gave the impression of being understaffed. We had been cruising for 31 years and we have cruised after the pandemic. Service during this trip was not good. What the ship gains with state of the art elevators, cabins and facilities it lacks on service. They need more/better trained people.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
They were well maintain.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was clean, spacious and comfortable, but soap dispenser was damage and never fixed and door needed to be slammed to properly close . Cabin service was average at best.

Ship tip

If you don't have kids, do not go to the pool on deck 18, go to the infinity pool on deck 8.
