Review summary
Just got off the Seashore this morning. We had an absolutely wonderful cruise. Everything we ate was good and aside from what others have said we found variety in the buffet everyday for lunch, there were always different deserts and an international section with different daily options. The donuts for breakfast are delicious, as is the pizza! We ate at the Butchers Cut one night and Hola one night, both were amazing! The waitstaff and servers across the ship were fantastic! Half the time I didn't have to tell them what I wanted, they already knew :-). The acrobats for the shows were really good, the singers and dancers, not so much, just my opinion. Our room steward wasn't the best, we had to ask for towels and body wash twice before getting either and twice our bed wasn't even made, no big deal for me but definitely affected her tip. Ocean Cay is amazing, we had no issues with jellyfish in the lagoon. The drivers on the island were pretty rude though, multiple people were complaining about that. We've been to St. Thomas and San Juan multiple times so we just walked around in those ports. We were supposed to dock at 5 pm in San Juan but we weren't able to get off the shop until 6:45 and it was complete chaos!! We ended up getting a duel ticket for the Sky Ride and Pirate Museum in St. Thomas which we thought was a good deal, we had a lot of fun at both places. In Puerto Plata we took the transfer downtown from the port because it was SO hot there! I was extremely annoyed because we had an itinerary planned for that port but when we got off the bus we were forced to have a tour guide and although we got to see what I wanted to see, we had to go to the shops and restaurant that they took us to!! I told him we wanted to go to the Chocolate Bakery and Cafe right by city center but he said it was only open at night but when we got back to city center it was open! The back elevators are the quickest, the other ones all take forever!! Embarking and debating were both a nightmare, I've never experienced such disorganization but that was the port crew, not the ship crew. We sailed at full capacity but other than the pools on sea days it never felt crowded anywhere. Overall we enjoyed cruising with MSC and will definitely book another one!Embarkation
