HORRIBLE CRUISE by Tedbecky

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seascape

Cruise ship was large and therefore lacked personal touch. Dining was loud and had too many people in one room, Food was clod and specialty restaurants were pricy.

We are now spoiled by A122223

We have sailed on MSC several times before. This was our first YACHT CLUB experience. We are hooked. We will only sail YACHT CLUB in the future. EVERYTHING was excellent. Accommodations, food, and especially the staff.

zero stars for customer service by ebouc3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Seascape

The cruise itself was fine. Food was fine. Other guests were awful. But that is not why I am writing this review. When we received our luggage to our room the first day one of the wheels had been completely taken off by their staff and not repairable. We went to customer service on our ship about this issue who could only offer us $80. The luggage is worth over $200 so we chose to fight it once we got off our ship. This process has been nothing short of unprofessional and unacceptable. I made numerous phone calls where I was told they could not help me and I needed to "email". I emailed the cruise to no response. I call again. I get the same run around and was told I had to fill out a "Lost and Found" Form. My luggage is not lost nor found so this didn't even make sense but I did what they asked. A month goes by with no response (they're supposed to respond 7-10 business days). I call again. I get told on the phone that they have no emails from me. So I gave them my claim number to which I was told it was DELETED. Furious, I tell the customer service rep I would like to speak to someone higher up and voiced my frustrations and again was told "I MUST EMAIL" and I was told they would and a rep would call me in 24-48 hours. These emails were not working and a phone call was never returned. I finally received an email for compensation of $100 (receipts below) I do not believe $100 was enough compensation but I was sick of dealing with them. To top it off. I received a $80 check in the mail!! I emailed them again voicing my frustration about this and they emailed me back that is all they would give me. How can you make an offer, in writing, and then not follow through on it? They are now stating they can not offer me anymore per policy. After this awful experience I DO NOT recommend you book a cruise with this company.

Beautiful ship! by tamiedarr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seascape

This is a beautiful ship and the design makes it feel not crowded & is easy to get around. Food in the dining room is limited and not up to cruise ship standards. Buffet and pizza is some of the best I’ve experienced. Crew are the best, very friendly and interactive. Passengers on this week were very rude and unsociable. A lot of foreign travelers that think they’re intitled. Very hard choice to chose MSC again. Great ship and crew vs rude passengers! Maybe just picked the wrong week!

Best bargain at sea by bundtcake

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seascape

We are normally not suite people so despite some shortfalls, we really enjoyed this cruise. It was definitely an elevated experience over our normal standard balcony rooms. For the price I paid, MSC Yacht Club is the best bargain at sea. That said, this experience falls far short of The Haven on NCL and still has some significant shortcomings for a premium product. I'd book another inside at balcony prices without a second thought, but if I ever have the $7000+ it costs for a regular Yacht Club suite, I'd probably look at the Haven instead.

This was the worst cruise experience of my 30 years of cruising life. Worst food, worst service, worst activities, worst everything. Hot tubs were not hot, food was not good, servers were crap. I will never cruise MSC ever again. Y'all suck.

SHIP WONDERFUL/ PEOPLE WITH CHILDREN NO CONTROL by

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Seascape

Guest services immediately took off my gratuities. Man gave me 30% discount for specialty restaurants. Had suite facing back of ship. Room fantastic. They should throw in a couple of movies on their television instead of irrelevant things. Steward was excellent. Room service doesn't understand word well done. Had to send back 3 times and then each morning was fine. Ate breakfast buffet once. Chaotic with kids and people talking very loud and hard to find a table. Parents think it's their living room. Also, kids running around on the stairs. Specialty restaurants butcher's block and sushi conveyor belt I ate every night between the 2. Steak to perfection with five dipping sauces and sides. Sushi was all you can eat for 45 minutes with great fried rice and ice cream included. What an incredible value. Besides this I spend my money on casino. Was told before cruise no crap table but they did have one. My game. Only other thing was Karaoke which was almost every night. Some excellent singers. Only negative was limited songs, and not long enough one hour and 15 minutes, and for this reason people running it should talk less and not sing as it's for the guests. It was in a beautiful lounge with a stage. Some of the people running crap table were nice and a couple not so friendly. Also drove the formula 1 car, of which now I have the upmost respect for the drivers after setting a record for crashes that will never be broken! Basically, never got off the ship rainy or cold. Rained in Jamaica. No cayman Island which was disappointment because of wind. Wanted to play golf in Cozumel, but found out golf course was too far, and private island was too cold for beach. I love a nice balcony, but because of wind couldn't spend a lot of time out there. Not the ship's fault weather wise but wouldn't go again in December. When we left it the day and night it was constant downpours in Miami. If only I had known, I wouldn't have spent the extra money for the room and balcony. You live and learn. Went to the place for ice cream which was closing and they gave it to me for free. They know how to score points. I'm not an early riser, but on ships you have to be out of your room very early. I know how it can be if you get off with everyone, so instead of standing I sat for 30 minutes and then got off with very little problem. They need security to be a little tougher at the adult pool in the back. People don't read the daily that states after one hour your lounge can be taken if you're not back. They have beds also which are nice. Came very close to having physical confrontation who demanded I get up after 1hour and a half. Security guy was called over by me who explained to them the deal and they still came at me. It was a newer ship so to me it was beautiful. When I book a cruise If I leave a message to call me back, don't tell me you will and then don't follow thru. Had to change agents 3 times. All in all, I give the Seascape 5 stars because you can't do anything about the weather and the people. To end I will share an embarrassing situation for me. The cabin doors close quickly, so when I opened it to retrieve my luggage, I didn't think I needed my key, so all of a sudden, I'm in my underwear calling for help for 10 minutes. Thanks to a man who came out and got someone to open the door I survived, but wouldn't you know they sent a woman!!!

Beautiful Ship by jimploskonka

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seascape

Beautiful ship, disorganized to the point of chaos sometimes. Witnessed some sort of caste system for bar service. We were often served when others around us weren't. Shipwide servers had attitude of teenagers. Buffet problems were rude and ignorant passengers. Food very average.

1st time on MSC by snavid

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Seascape

Never found myself bored during my 7 night stay! The ship itself is very elegant, and there are photo opportunities everywhere. While staff were very friendly, I often got contradictory info when asking for clarification about pool towels, soft serve ice cream, and directions around the ship. Nothing a little more prodding didn’t fix. I never found myself waiting long for a decent pool chair or jacuzzi spot despite 100% capacity. MDR service ran smoothly every night; the buffet also carried a good selection of food. One downside about the buffet: only one line for pizza was available outside of dining times which made for long lines during my sailing. In my opinion, they could have offered more lines for the only food available during those times.

MSC Starting to Get Greedy by CoyneBoch

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group

The bathrooms in the cabin are so small. Everything else on the ship was fine and on par with other MSC cruises we have done. The dining room left some to be desired but for the most part, it was a great trip!

Exceeded Expectations by TurdFerg

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Seascape

Overall, the cruise exceeded my expectations. To be honest, I was a little worried since it had been 5 years since my last MSC Cruise and I watched way too much YouTube cruise videos, but honestly I did not experience anything bad. I had a great time, yes it was crowded but nothing awful except I the buffet. I already booked another cruise with MSC. I loved it and will continue to sail with them.
