Review summary

All in all we had a great trip and we can't wait to sail on it again in April 2024 when we have a yacht club suite.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We traveled with a group of 12 and we wanted to get a group embarkation photo. But what we didn't expect is that MSC splits embarkation locations by decks. Decks 5-10 entered at one location and decks 11-18 entered in a different location. I am sure I have the deck numbers wrong but you get the idea. Some of our group were on deck 10 and others on deck 12 so needless to say we didn't get one big group embarkation photo, we will no better next time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
A couple in our group did the Kaito Teppanyaki and said it was really good, the buffet was okay, and the MDR was good.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows in the Chora theater were pretty good. I did enjoy the fact that the volume of the music played in the theater was at an enjoyable level and I didn't feel like they were trying to blow me out of the theater like I have experienced on other cruise lines. The PG comedian show was pretty good, we did not attend the adult show. The juggler and magician where okay. The dueling pianos were good, I probably would have enjoyed them more had it been more of a piano bar setting vs an open area.

Service and Staff

Our MDR service and room service was awesome.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Layout of the ship and cleanliness was pretty good. The two issues I had, 1) I don't care for the smart elevators but it seems most cruise lines are going to those, it's not the elevators per say that I have an issue with as much as it is most people on the cruise ship don't know how to properly operate them. 2) there are no stairs in the back of the ship, which is where our room was. So in order to go up or down one or two decks we had to use the elevators or walk mid ship to use the stairs.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were on deck 10 and had a cabin in the rear of the ship with a wrap around balcony and it was awesome. I had read some complaints about loud music from the club on deck 7 but we never experienced that.
