MSC Preziosa

7 Night Western Mediterranean (Rome Roundtrip)

Sail date: May 22, 2016

Ship: MSC Preziosa

Cabin type: Oceanview

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

Worst cruise line I have ever sailed with. Terrible service, stained bed linen, cold food in dining room.

When complaining to reception just ignored or lied to.

Booked a Fantastica cabin on a three week cruise and were given basic cabin on the lowest deck A total rip off, and when I wrote to complain was not given an adequate answer and no offer of a refund for the wrong cabin class.

I would not recommend this cruise line to any one.

Paid for Fantastica cabin (superior cabin on an upper deck) and were given standard cabins on lowest deck, a total ripoff!

People choosing the cheapest Cruise Lines but expecting the best Food, ship and service, Is always funny. You get what you pay for. Of course, RCI, NCL etc. have better Food etc., but you pay two or three times higher rates. Just take the drinking Package for instance .....26.- per day with MSC, 55.- with RCI. If you book a 7 night Cruise for about 400.-, dont compare it to a 1500.- Cruise.....

We sailed with them last summer and loved it. Loved the continental vibe.

It's the same company, Mediterranean Shipping Company.

Im pretty sure that the MSC on cruise ships stands for Mediterranean Style Cruising and the MSC on the container ships stands for Mediterranean shipping company...

We complained about how rude the staff were and asked for the service charge to be refunded because nobody earned it. I've heard alot of people say MSC don't like the English or English speakers and it's quite obvious once you've been on one of their ships.

MSc stands for Mediterranean Shipping Company, maybe they shouldn't have branched out into cruising, and stuck with their shipping lines
