Lots of people, but it didn’t seem like it unless you were embarking/disembarking, this could be smartened up by giving groups different times rather than all on/off. The ship and staff are great, prices standard cruise prices. No need to dress for the themed nights, certainly not fancy dress (we took 60/70’s fancy dress, alone!) I would go again knowing we had to manage luggage and prob book our own flights to enable us to make the most of the starting venues.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
Embarkation was misleading, time consuming and hard work. Passengers were responsible for transporting baggage from the airport to and into the transfer bus, unloading and delivering to the boat. This may not sound much but lugging two cases and Han baggage across the arrivals terminal then across two large car parks before literally living them into the bus baggage hold then repeating it at the other end doesn’t make a pleasant stat. All in all it took us almost two hours from landing to get to our cabin. We had to then stay on board to practice lifeboat drill. All this meant we had no time to look around the first venue, nor was there time when we left, so an eight venue trip became a six.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
I read lots of poor reviews about food, so was a bit concerned. No need, the standard and choice was excellent and in line with other cruises I have been on. In fact better than some. They do not skimp on the drinks package either. Lots of choice, my friend is gluten intolerant but her needs were easily catered for, again with great choices in which ever area we chose to eat.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Lots of choices for activities, spread out so it never seems too crowded
Entertainment

A new show every night, shown in two settings. A choice of downloading films, or other general cruise activities to suit all ages

Ship tip
The balcony gives you the option of a place away from the crowds. Choose first sitting for dinner, second sitting starts at 9.30, meaning you start eating around 10pm.
Visited on a Sunday, so most shops closed. Unless you did an excursion it was hit and miss what you found. Head towards the old square for better artisan shops and a wonderful ice cream bar near pasta street!
The Olympia trip was excellent only spoiled by the lack of choice in the shopping option that was part of the trip. We were all taken into a very pricey jewellers for the hard sell.
Acropolis trip superb, a great guide who made a hot day manageable. No need to worry about the climb up. The steps are only few mostly it is walk way and steps are graduated. I have a dodgy knee and nearly gave this trip a miss fearing I would hold people up, but the pace was slow anyway and the views and experience is not to be missed
We did not book an excursion for this port, having to carry your passport around and the look of the dock put us off from exploring on our own, so had a lazy day on the ship
