I understand how you feel I was on the Poesia when it was based out of Ft Lauderdale, it is quite a bit different then the cruises we are used too. MSC caters to a more international customers and If you go on not knowing that it is a suprise, but that being said MSC became one of my favorite cruise line. It takes away that little protective shell that cruises catered for Americans have giving you a more authentic European experience. The MSC ships based out of Miami now cater more to America's, they use only English as opposed to 5 languages they previously did, allows for more activities (instead of the same having the same activity 5 times for each language), and the menu is more American. It ships are beautiful and staff was super friendly, one staff member gave my wife and I a couple of free bottles of wine, I think it was just because we were friendly with them.
