Beautiful ship, had a great time & would do again in a heartbeat. Even though hurricane Milton prevented us from visiting 2 ports the sailing was smooth the first week. The waters to and from Bermuda were rougher but did not bother me--just wore flat shoes for balance and enjoyed being rocked to sleep at night.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Checked in around 11am. The lines looked long but constantly kept moving providing an efficient checkin process.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Fully enjoyed the food in the main dining rooms and buffet. Did not use the specialty restaurants.
Was surprised that the menu remained the same on the back to back trip. Brunch on sea days was a nice change.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Went to all the shows and parties every night. Had a great time at all. There was always something going on and was glad that I was on a back to back so I could experience different venues the 2nd week.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Most shows and performances were about 45 minutes which was the perfect amount of time. Several stages and venues for entertainment.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Ship's personnel were very engaging and always eager to please. Encouraged everyone to join in and have fun. Breakfast in the dining room was a little disorganized but the manager worked hard to correct issues.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Well designed and easy to maneuver. Saw lots of staff cleaning and keeping the ship polished.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Had an inside guarantee which was upgraded to cabin 5006--a deluxe ocean view on deck 5 with a very large round window and sofa. Perfect location as very near the front elevator which lead to the entertainment area and bamboo pool entrance. Also a short walk to the main lobby and reception area. It was very quite and clean.
Ship tip
Be ready to have fun and meet fellow passengers from around the world.
Took the NY Ferry from Wall St. in Manhattan to Red Hook-Brooklyn pier which is right next to the ship. The views of New York City and the statue of Liberty are magnificent.
King's Wharf had shops, restaurants, museums, beach ($15 entrance fee) visitor information center, all kinds of motor rentals and tours.
Used local bus and ferry system to get to Hamilton and Crystal caves. Took a free walking tour of Hamilton given by the local "Town Crier" which was excellent. ( gave a well deserved tip). Crystal caves tour was $24. Could combine it with the Fantasy cave tour for $35. Crystal cave were fascinating but wet and very steep steps. Would like to go to St. George and Walsingham Nature Reserve (Tom Moore Jungle) next time as fellow passengers had a great time there.
