Overall, this was a fantastic vacation for my husband and I! We had never cruised before and weren't sure we'd enjoy. It took me years to try to get him to go on one and now he can't wait to go back in June! The food was good and the drinks kept coming. The staff - particulary those on the back deck bar - the Horizon - were absolutely amazing!

Embarking was a lot better than I expected after watching and reading about others' horror stories. The entire process was about an hour and half but it honestly didn't feel that long. We never stopped moving!

We bought the drink package (highly reccommend!) and they never stopped coming! The buffet had tons of options and we never went hungry. We unfortunately couldn't get into the mexican specialty (they were booked 3 nights in a row) and the one free restaurant we tried - we were not impressed with and didn't enjoy the people we were seated with. Hence, we never went back and figured the buffet was good enough.
Onboard Activities

We didn't do any of the activites, but based on the daily itinerary - there were a lot of options - just not things we were real interested in. I've read about belly flop contests (that would be fun to watch) or family feud games. They really didn't have things like that -that I noticed.

We only went to one show - and it wasn't all that great. Was a magic show that seemed to be geared more toward kids.

We had an indoor cabin - no complaints whatsoever. It was more spacious than I had planned with plenty of outlets.
Ship tip
Do it - you won't regret it! We are going back in June on this same exact ship to the same places. If that's not a testiment to how much we enjoyed - I'm not sure what is.
