Overall the cruise was boring. Ship was old, need new furniture, updated decorations. Room was too small and bed uncomfortable. Food was mediocre, either tasteless or too salty. Entertainment was nothing to rave about.

Pickleball is a very popular sport these days. Court was open and available but cruise ship limited play time to only 1 hr am and 1.5 hrs mid morning. The rest of the day court stays empty.
Entertainment

Nothing great.

Love Rhode Island but unfortunately the tender services took almost 2 hrs to get on land and another 2 hrs to return to the ship which only allowed me 1.5 hrs to visit Rhode Island. Terrible tender services and poor organization of the disembarkment procedure.
We sailed on her in June. She is beautiful and so clean. I was shocked by you saying that it was old. What line is your go to cruise company. It wasn’t a perfect cruise but it was nice. Their clientele is a diverse collection of nationalities which may bother some. Sorry you had a bad time :(
Sorry to hear you didn't fully enjoy your cruise on the Meraviglia. You are correct it doesn't have all the amenities/activities of other big "American" ships. It's an Italian ship in the American market. You are also correct about the food being inconsistent (temp/quality). But, I did enjoy their Italian/Mediterranean way of making the food. That said, some items didn't change the whole cruise, especially breakfast. And yes, some of the crew didn't understand enough English which made resolving or solving situations difficult. But, I sailed on the her May 28th and had a great time. I liked it so much I'll be sailing on her again on Oct 25th. I hope you're able to find a ship more to your liking in the future.
