Overall, we loved this cruise. We’ve been on Royal, Norwegian, princess, celebrity and Carnival. Yes there were some things that weren’t great. But that’s been experienced on every other cruise line I’ve been on with the exception of celebrity. After we got home, we booked two more cruises on this line. Very pleased and looking forward to doing it again.
Embarkation

My Uber dropped me off at 10:30 and I was on the ship having lunch by 11:30 and this was after making all of my dinner reservations for the specialty restaurants.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
I had no complaints at the main dining room. Our waiters were attentive and friendly. Our food always came out hot and quickly. There were some things that I liked and some I didn’t but for the most part the food was very good. One thing to note, dinner never took more than an hour and 15 minutes. Most of the time it averaged less than an hour. I went to butcher cut and the food was extremely good. The only problem was my filet mignon wasn’t. Go figure. Loved the desserts. I’m not a fan of excessive sugar so I thought they were fabulous. The Buffet was good, not great, but good. Always something good to eat.
Onboard Activities

Didn’t really get a chance to enjoy all that the ship had to offer. The fitness center was well equipped. Never did go to the pools.
Children's Programs

We were traveling with our 13-year-old grandson. He did not go to the kids club, but totally enjoyed the Formula One simulator, the other VR rides and the indoor sports complex. Every day there were a large group of kids either playing soccer or basketball. We got the fun pass for him, but not sure if that was actually worth it. I don’t think he used more than $50 on his card.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was a little small and lacked storage. But the three of us were able to make it work. Bringing magnetic hooks helped a lot. The awesome view from the balcony, and an attentive and hard-working room attendant all made this very memorable.
Ship tip
Before we boarded we did our research and went to different Facebook groups to learn the ends and outs of this cruise line and this ship. This made our transition to MSC a lot easier. The bottom line is we definitely will cruise MSC again.
We all loved this island. We rented a cabana. So glad we did. We were able to sit back and enjoy ourselves in the shade when not swimming. The only thing I didn’t like was the limited shuttle service.
We were one of the last groups to get off. This wasn’t a problem for us. We just spent the time in the Buffet having breakfast. When our number was called we went downstairs, went through a maze that took about 15 minutes and got our bags.
Glad you enjoyed it. We were hoping MSC would be our new favorite but unfortunately, it wasn’t. So much potential but too many snafus to feel comfortable. I do want to give them another try though.
