Review summary

This was a great relaxing cruise for us. We booked it less than a month out and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Ocean Cay is beautiful! The staff on the ship was AMAZING! I would sail this ship again in a heartbeat.

Embarkation

Embarkation was smooth, but longer wait times because the ship came in late due to a storm. The lines kept moving and we were on board in under 2 hours from drop off.

Food and Dining

There was a good variety of food in the buffet. The pizza is GREAT! The MDR was good, but some of the options needed more seasoning. The staff was amazing and we never waited long for a drink at a bar or food in the MDR.

Brass Anchor Pub

Absolutely the BEST bar staff on the ship! Barbara and Dedi are amazing! The live music with Russ Clark was fantastic. We closed this place down every night we were on the cruise. It was our "go to" end of the evening hang out.

Onboard Activities

Great pools and tons of activities scheduled. We did some trivia, shopping, bingo, and watched the fun on the pool deck.

Entertainment

Stage shows were good. The musicians at the various bars were great! The Brass Anchor venue is fantastic!

Service and Staff

Room steward, MDR staff, and bar staff were AMAZING! Delfin and Jose in the MDR never let my wine glass get less than half. Dedi in the Brass Anchor was constantly checking in and bringing our drinks and water to keep us going. I can't say enough about the staff. They were outstanding!

Ship Quality

Everywhere I went was clean and well-maintained. We loved the layout because you never felt like you were on a ship with 5,000 other people.

Cabin / Stateroom

The interior cabin was spacious and the closet space was big enough for my husband and I to hang all of our clothes for a 7 day cruise. The interior rooms are dark when all the lights are out, which makes them great for sleeping!

Ship tip

Check out the kids and family section of the buffet. They often have chicken nuggets and fries. Great comfort food! Also check the back of the buffet for hand dipped ice cream and cookies in the afternoon.

Love the review. We took 2 cruises on Meriviglia. November. 6 December 4 last year. It moved to NY before our May 14 cruise. We were disappointed because we made friends with some of the crew WE LOVED MERAVIGLIA. !!!! Our May cruise was on the Seaside. It was great but we prefer the Meraviglia Going again in September I love MSC We couldn’t go as much on the other popular lines. NCL. RCL. We have been on those too but we like MSC. Always had the best time. The crew is always amazing Love it all This is an Italian cruise line. Therefore the food is a little different as well as the ship itself. A little Taste of Italy is well appreciated. Enjoy your cruises. We aren’t able to drive to NY and too nervous to fly. We are hoping I your ship makes it way back to Port Canaveral I know Seaside is changing to SEASHORE. They move them around Thanks for listening. Have a good trip everytime. !
