Overall a good cruise, looking to book another cruise with MSC

Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Did not use, mobility impaired
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Not Broadway or Vegas, but ok for being on a ship in the middle of nowhere
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The staff was great, you may have to say something two or three times and ways as English is not native language of 99% of the crew
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Wherever you look, 27/7 someone is cleaning. At least every 15 minutes someone wipes down the handrail of the Crystal staircase
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We were in a accessible cabin due to my mobility issues. Plenty of room..my complaint is that I was told by the MSC salesperson on the phone that there is a sofa in our balcony room. The was no sofa so to watch tv you had to sit on the bed and watch tv at a 45* angle as the wall mounted tv did not swivel towards the bed. There was a rolling bench seat by the desk but it’s wooden, hard to sit on and very low to the ground
Ship tip
Just enjoy yourself, and remember that the food, while decent and good, is not from the Ritz or the Four Seasons or other Michelin starred restaurant, but a decent restaurant kitchen..don’t eat the fries at the buffet-they were stale like they were heated up from the last cruise
I love Mediterranean Style Cruising, including Mediterranean cuisine. French fries (or pomme frites) is not Mediterranean cuisine. Note that Johnny Rockets is not a high point of cruise cuisine. And pomme frites are best right from the fryer with a cone of real mayonnaise (not the stuff in a jar).
MSC has freshly made pastas, breads, even mozzarella is made daily on board. Deserts are wonderful. Solid salads and greens. Non-gluttlnous portions. And leisurely European paced service in Maine dining rooms to enjoy the food and the company.
We're excited New York will become home port to the Meriviglia. We'll be bringing her to her new home on April 20th.
