It was perfect, from start to finish. The weather, the ship, the crew, food, drinks, vibe, cleanliness, everything. Not one issue. I can't come up with one negative thing to share. Not a one!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
I'll be candid. We were in the Yacht Club. So, with that said, this review is, for the most part, about our Yacht Club experience. To specifically answer the question about embarkation, it was the most pleasant, smooth and hassle-free experience we've ever had. Once you leave your bags with the attendant at the white Yacht Club tent, your cruise vacation commences immediately. You're literally on the ship in a matter of minutes.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
All of our dining experiences were within the Yacht Club area. Great cuisine! Great service! A plethora of selections. Absolutely no way you could go hungry or thirsty.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
We didn't participate in any specific on-board activities.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The stage shows in the Broadway Theater were very enjoyable and entertaining. The length of the shows were perfect. Not too long. And the sound was at a good level. Not too loud. One show consisted of a good live band.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Oh, wow, the service we experienced far exceeded our expectations. And it remained that way from embarkation to disembarkation. And it was that way with each and every crew member in the restaurant, the pool buffet and bar area, the Topsail Lounge, the room stewards and concierge. They were willing to do whatever it took for you to experience the best cruise vacation possible.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship's layout and design was very easy and enjoyable to navigate. Every area that we encountered was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. No issues whatsoever.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was perfect. That adjective goes for size, cleanliness, coziness and comfort. The cabin had a good vibe. Huge television. The refrigerator was stocked with a great selection of beverages. Nice size bathroom with large shower. We had a deluxe balcony cabin, and the balcony was plenty big enough. Our cabin steward kept the cabin spotless and well stocked with all essentials.
Ship tip
I'll be blunt. If there is any way you can afford the Yacht Club experience, do it. It's 100% totally worth it.
We did no excursion. Mostly relaxed and enjoyed the scenery. Ocean Cay has the most beautiful and amazing water surrounding it that I have ever seen. Talk about pleasing to the eye. It's incredible!
Honestly, we've been to Nassau several times in the past, so we just chilled and enjoyed the views from the comfort of the ship. The waters around Nassau are very pleasing to the eye.
Well, we walked out to the concierge desk at 7:15 a.m. After a few moments, our room steward and butler escorted a small group of us down to deck six. At 7:45, yes, 30 minutes later, we were in our vehicle and headed home, capping off an amazing cruise experience with MSC. One that we plan to do again soon.
Popdog, to be honest, the interaction with our Butler was limited. When we got to the cabin, he did come by and explain and show us the nuances and logistics of the cabin. After that, we would just briefly see him in the hallways and the general area of the Yacht Club. We did notice him offering his services in the Topsail Lounge serving drinks to thirsty patrons. And as I noted in my review, he did help escort us down on disembarkation morning. We had much more interaction with our cabin steward Jesse. Professional, polite, hardworking, top-notch individual.
Thank you for your review. We will be sailing the Meraviglia in the Yacht Club next May. I hope I will have the same praises when we return. You did not have much to say about your Butler. I would be interested in hearing more. We always have wonderful butlers when sailing NCL.
Glad you enjoyed it. People either love or hate MSC. Many book Bella expecting Yacht Club and are disappointed. I have cruised MSC twice with the Fantastica experience and loved it.
