Seriously, you couldn’t pay me to go on MSC again. I need a vacation after this vacation. Thoroughly disappointed that we paid for this.
Embarkation

Well the ship was easy enough to get on. Lines moved quickly enough.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
I’d like to give zero. The only thing that was good was their ice cream, seriously. The food at best was edible, I felt like I was at my sons elementary school. The buffet was made more like a cafeteria, long lines. On the private island we were also made to use the buffet on a line, over an hour to get just the burger at the end of the buffet. I was served the wrong item in the dining room twice, and with dietary restraints given things that would most certainly make me sick. I’m not sure how vegetarian pasta had a meat sauce still. Also believe the mediocre at best food was to make you want to spend money at the specialty restaurants.
We were supposed to have drink packages that no longer were available when we got on the ship. You can’t bring your own wine or even water on board. There was no mint for mojitos the first day and missing half the wine list. Waited 10 minutes every time to get a drink but they were too busy cleaning to attend to anyone at the bar. I’m pretty sure this was a tactic when drink packages were available to avoid people getting drinks. The Irish pub didn’t have Guinness or their special beer of the night on tap. Literally nothing was available.
Onboard Activities

Small pools. At least clean. Should have had music at the kids pool.
Fitness center was good actually. Busy, but being one of the few things to do I think a lot made it there.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
There was a show a night that was mediocre, and the magic show that also the charge extra for was canceled. No comedy shows and very little entertainment. Most of the evenings would be considered boring.
Children's Programs

Kids activities are none existent. Their kids club is only open really late. The waterside and pay for bowling was the only thing our 11yo could do.
Service and Staff

Friendly but too busy cleaning to help. Jennifer, who was assigned to our room, was the only reason y’all got 3 stars here. Very sweet and made sure our room was perfect.
Ship Quality

Why would you put the run/walk track in the most busy part of the ship?
It was clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

Jennifer is stellar at her job. Spotless. The bed was hard as a rock but the couch/bed was comfortable for the child.
Beautiful. Like exactly what you picture for the Caribbean islands. Terrible food and long line to get it. Except the grilled octopus and seafood ceviche that you can pay extra for.
I went on MSC and 2 weeks later went back on freedom of the seas.
There's no comparison.
The staff, the music, the multiple clubs, the food, the food, THE FOOD is far better on Royal Caribbean.
Now I can't wait,🤪🙃😁 I book a cruise on ICON for February 2024.
So I'll pay a little extra for QUALITY. jt you can keep paying for sub-par performance.
My least favourite cruise was an MSC one (Seaview) and even then I would still rate everything way higher than you did. It may not be the cruise line for you, based on my one cruise with them it probably isn’t the line for me, but come on be fair!
Glad to see these negative reviews to make people think MSC is horrible. That keeps the prices low for those of us that know the truth that it is an excellent experience with great food, service, entertainment and the best private island of any cruise line.
