We mainly ate in the YC restaurant...just phenomenal food. ALso, Butcher's Cut Steakhouse is terrific. The bone marrow there is some of the best I have ever eaten. The Gelato is not to be missed. Pizza on board is great and is available in the buffet.

The crew were constantly cleaning. One design flaw to me is the back of the ship on 18 called Horizon. There is no big screen. You have to walk through all the kids stuff to get there. Not many people use it. On this cruise they moved the nightly party from this area to the TV Lounge.
Cabin / Stateroom

I only have one complaint about the cabin...the beds are entirely too small. There are no king size beds anywhere on the ship. This is where other cruise lines suites have MSC beat.
Not much to do at the port, same old stuff to buy. A few places to eat. It has been written that it is not safe to venture beyond the port area on your own. There were no shore excursions that looked great to us. We likely will not leave the ship next time in this port.
We love Costa Maya and always rent a golf cart from the Mayahual Red Shirt Golf Cart Company. We explore the island and end up at Nohoch Kay for food and drinks and a beach massage.
Your Costa Maya experience sounds awesome. We are going 1/23/22 and wanna copy you! Can you tell us costs for the golf cart? The beach massage? Wanna make sure we bring enough cash…. Thank you!!!
