Although we had a better experience & better itinerary on the MSC Armonia in December 2018, MSC is still our favorite cruise line. We cannot wait for the MSC Seashore in May 2022. Hopefully, cruising will be back completely at that time. I believe the COVID restrictions & the time of the restart effected this cruise, although many of the changes we loved!

We traveled with friends & ate in the main dining room twice, buffet twice for lunch, & specialty dining (Teppanyaki) once. The rest of our meals were at the Yacht Club Restaurant. We love Teppanyaki, but this was the only negative experience. The food was great, but the joy of Teppanyaki is the entertainment. We found it lacking.
Onboard Activities

We are never board on this cruise. There were only 885 passengers on this cruise. This was the least energetic of all the cruises I have been on from the passengers, but the Entertainment Team worked really hard to stay motivated.
Entertainment

We loved the entertainment. However, we were disappointed when we heard that Circus De Soleil was not performing, were not allowed to attend the show on the final night in the theater because it was a repeat of the first night's performance, & we were prohibited from meeting the performers due to COVID. Other than this, we loved the shows, especially the magic act.

The staff was great & very friendly, but this has always been our experience on MSC. We opted for the Yacht Club experience on this cruise. This took the service to another level, for we were assigned a butler for the whole cruise.

One of the reasons we love MSC is because you get a luxury cruise line at an amazing price & they don't "short change" you on cleanliness, ship design, or itinerary.
Cabin / Stateroom

I was really shocked by the size of the inside cabin. It was too small. This was the first time we have ever stayed in an inside cabin. The reason why the score isn't lower is because we were in Yacht Club, so the amenities & perks outweighed the cabin. We were hardly in the room, just to shower & sleep. Our room was cleaned at least twice a day.
Ship tip
This is an Italian cruise line. Your experience will be different on MSC versus Carnival, RCL, etc sailing out of the U.S.A. Nevertheless, it will be worth it!
We had never been on MSC before and our first cruise was amazing - so much so that they are now our favorite! It’s all about the Yacht club. Booked to go again while on our first cruise! Yes- it’s that good.
