From an organisational point of view, there is a lot to improve. Be prepared. Ship is very clean, very nice and staff does what it can to cover up the organisational issues

Cruisin 31 march 18 from hamburg. Nice ship. Although inside cabin still plenty of room. But cruising is way better with sunnier weather and warmer temperatures.

Whilst we have previously cruised with MSC and loved them all, this had it been our first, would have made us think twice about cruising with them again.

As the idea is to make easy for all type of people have this kind of tourism, the contrast of cultures and behaviour are huge.

The food is not in the levvel of ships of other companies

We had a nice cruise with 4 friends. The Aurea class is nice with its own pooldeck, where your can enjoy the sun in a quiet place, and not to-gether with a lot of others. Also the Aurea Spa and wellness is fine.

Please do yourself a favour and do not go with MSC, it was dreadful and a lot of wasted money......never again, never. It was a very disappointing experience and the very worst holiday I have ever taken.

Excellent Captain Corrado Iaconis and steady ship in all weather. No rain in Bergen and fine new SEA WALK in Geiranger enabling you to walk from the ship to the shore.

This cruise was one of our best from 20 cruises. The meals in the restaurants had been very good, the stops in the Norwegian Fjords very good organized, the waiters very friendly, the cruise consultant, the guest relations managerIn and the hotel director very friendly. The best of all we find the shows! Every day a perfect show with 8 dancers, flamenco dancers, two pairs of acrobatics, a wonderful jongleur, four african artists with perfect acrobatic. Wonderfull shows. So go every evening in the theater and in the restaurant, and after the cruise, you will miss it. And the embarkation and disembarkation were perfect.

We went at the end of April on a 4 nights cruise. From Genua, to Rome, to Corsica, to Marseille and back to Genua. The short cruise was part of a three week holiday trip through Germany, Swiss and Italy. It was also an experiment. It was our first cruise with our 4 year old daughter. We did not know how she would like it. It also was our first MSC cruise. When we saw the low pricing, we did not expect much. So we were very much happily surprised by this ship and cruise line. The MSC Magnifica is a wonderful, clean ship. It looks very well maintained. The ship can easily compete with the luxury lines. The personnel is not that good as on the luxury lines. They do their best, but they do not speak good English, they make little mistakes....And it looked they had to work hard for their money...They didn't look happy sometimes... We had an interior cabin, this was good. It was kept clean, although we never saw our cabin stewart. No personal link with us as passengers. The entertainment was European. In the theater is was great...During port days it was non existent.... There were almost no games, or trivia shows....It all was a bit quiet on the entertainment outside the theater. The itinerary was good. I have seen Rome lots of times, so we stayed on the ship....Then you find yourself on a almost empty ship! All the pools and deckchairs, and jacuzzi's are empty! Corsica was beautiful. And Marseille we did not care for.... Although there were some minor points... overall we enjoyed our time on MSC Magnifica a lot! With the pricing of MSC cruises, you get a lot for less money... We have been on Celebrity en HAL, and those cruise lines are much more luxury, but you pay for it BIG. Especially since children are sailing for free at MSC, this will be the cruise line we will choose the best few years....The other cruise lines simply can not beat these prices...

Nice ship, nice venues. A big applause for the entertainment team, they made everyone fells good and happy. Not much to say about theatre shows. Very poor program, lots of one singer show nights. The food and venues the same as all the MSC ships. We took two excursion: Loro Parque and Casablanca tour, good organized, but I don't recommend Casablanca. Nothing to see, very dirty city , bad smells everywhere.

Second time on Magnifica , great crew, staff go all the wy to assist you,  food fabulous,  animation excellent yet again. Overall 10 out of 10 . I WILL BE BACK. 

Excursions to Malta and Olympia

i reviewed this ship prior to departing Australia as the Travel Agent said MSC was up with the best. Up with the best no where near it. Where do you start

on two occasions we English speakers were left in the cold because the guides could not enunciate the English language. After complaining things got better and we were advised on the tour of Hieraklion that no English speaking guide was available for our tour

maitre d was rude ignorant and obnoxious and self serving

food was luke  warm and seafood overcooked

You were badgered as soon as you embarked to buy inflated drink packages

nothing was free other than water from the buffet cooler. Any other water coffee ice cream had to be paid for. 

Entertainment in the theatre was good but the song list in the tiger bar was replayed many times

All of these points have been made for at least the last five years and little or nothing has changed. MSC managemnt need to get with the program

Beautiful ship with wonderful decor and surrounds. Was not overly crowded and even in 115 km winds in the way to Mykonos she was as steady as a rock. Food was ok but service was good. Cabin balcony was excellent but we had smokers two cabins up which was very unfortunate as after many phone calls, nothing was done to stop these inconsiderate passengers. The ship itself was modern and very well maintained. The pets visits were wonderful and would use MSC again.

We embarked from ıstanbul with a family of four. First stop was Dubrovnik where transfers were made with lifeboats and there was a qeue at the port on the way back. "Once a year" the Venice passenger port was closed, and it was the day when we arrived. No info was shared and the ship moored at the Margera Port where the transfers were made to Venice by small boats for 16 EUR per person. On the way back there was another disaster due to Venetian police procedures. Stayed under the sun (39 degrees) and had an x-ray check. It was aound noon time when we arrived to the next stop (Brindisi) and nothing to see. All shops were closed. Katakolon was not much better. 

Ship was very crowded and long queues in the restaurants. Most of the cres were hardly could speak English. I serously do not recommend this destination.

MSC gets a lot of mixed review here, so I wanted to weigh in with an endorsement of the cruise line. We've been on Princess, Holland America, NCL, Carnival and Costa. While we were worried we'd have a Costa-caliber experience on MSC, I'm happy to report that it was far better. The room was beautiful, the food was good and the entertainment was a pleasant surprise. Our only major complaint involves a how slow embarking and debarking was at ports and on departure day. Still, we'd recommend MSC and would cruise with them again.

I don't understand the poor reviews I've read about MSC Magnifica.

My cruise was fabulous. The cabin was spotlessly clean, as was the entire ship... it looks like it came out of the box yesterday.

The crew were helpful and their systems are really slick. At least 2 crew members were so nice, I'd happily invite them to my home.

Most of all, the food was fantastic! There was a huge amount of choice, and such fresh ingredients! Choices ranged from the healthiest of salads to burgers-and-pizza at the opposite end of the scale... with carvery, pasta dishes, a variety of veggies and a huge dessert buffet along the way. I can't imagine what people are complaining about, it's like they were on some other boat?

I did only one MSC excursion (Olympia) and that was definitely worth the expense, with a very good guide and comfortable, safe bus.

I'll definitely be cruising with MSC again, after this very impressive first outing with them.

It was very nice and excellent.  You can not ask for more when it come to your own private time.  I love it and so did my wife.  A bit of dancing would not have hurt the time of enjoyment but I guess I will have to chose MSC MUSICA next time.  I belive MUSICA is for dancers and Magnifica is for relaxing.  

Beautiful ship, great room with nice size balcony, service is very good and attentive. The ports are amazing, especially Paris and Brugge. I liked the bike tours, nice option.

Even better than last year. No talkings, in the early morning, through microfone. Swimmingpool outside had warm water. Photographers were not aggressive.Impression was excellent.
