Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Poor selection of food same thing every day. Been on the boat for 20 days most food is cold when it gets to me. Drinks are terrible online it said complementary drinks package, turns out I didn’t read the fine print they only offered me water for that premium package. Do not go on this cruise for food or drinks. To buy a drinks package which I was sailing in a party of 5 for a room, three of my family members don’t drink any thing but water. The cruise line forces you to buy the drinks package for everyone in the room to prevent sharing. For this twenty day cruise just for the drinks package was 4000. What a joke. It is 37 dollars per day per person in the room. Never going on another cruise with msc because of this.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Nothing to do on board and the things that you can do they make you pay for it. To go down a old rusty water slide, they only have one on board they charge you. To use the bowling alley, movie cinema, ect. Extra all these things are free on other cruise lines such as Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, and carnival. Pool closes at 7pm right when it gets cool enough to enjoy the water. Other cruise lines have the pools open till later. If your younger than 35 you may want a different cruise line as all activities shut down around 11pm.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Nothing. No movies to watch in cabin. I had a balcony cabin on the 13th floor and there was a small 12in tv for the whole room with no channels to watch.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Service and staff was good mostly. Most staff are just kind and trying to make a living.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was beautiful and deserves better. Staff kept ship clean bathrooms were clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Old lacks amenities super small bathroom. Small tv no channels. Was clean all the time though.

Ship tip

Do not sail on this cruise line scammers. Cheap in the beginning but they get you when you try to do anything. Everything must be paid for.

I’m on this cruise now and have experienced nothing like what you listed. Food and service have been great, entertainment is good, etc. The cruise is 15 - 25 days, depending on where you disembark, so unless you got off in San Juan today, you are still in the ship and couldn’t have experienced any of the other ports listed.

Drinks packages have to be purchased by all legal age people in a stateroom. That is the rule on every cruise line MSC is not unique in that regard.
