Review summary

While embarkation and disembarkation were a bit trying, I totally enjoyed the suite we had. Large enough for 3 people, even had a bathtub, which I loved. Took advantage of the large wrap around balcony mostly every day. It was always clean and serviced .

Embarkation

3 out of 5
We were one of the fost to arrive at port, and it took us a good 2-3 hrs to get registered and get to our room. Some kind of connectivity problems. Long lines, many tires people.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Had the best waiter in the Black Crab! He was on it. All orders came just as placed and there was quick service. Our drinks never went empty and our food was hot and delicious. There was a lot of seafood on the menu.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Other than the fact that a large Group of people decided to camp out in the hot tubs, so NO ONE else could Get in, and other people would Just take your possessions off your chair and throw them on the floor to get your seat, the pools We’re very nice. The solarium on 18 was nice.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Not into magic shows It the musical shows were good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was very attentive and friendly. Our cabin steward was very efficient and friendly.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
A very classy ship, lots of color glitter. Always clean, although she is starting to show her age in small ways.

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

Take your own Kleenex tissues, body soap and hair conditioner. They no longer provide them, and if you buy it in the ships store it’s almost 3X the price in a Walmart.

Ports of call

Cartagena, Colombia

4 out of 5
While the old town was cleaned up and nice, the rest of the town was torn up and littered. In the old town, the street vendors are brutally persistent. They get up in your face and won’t leave you alone. The history and old bldgs are beautiful. Did a coffee tasting but it was NOT to my taste.

Miami, Florida

3 out of 5
Never liked Miami. Hotel was older, dirty and the employees rude. Glad we only spent 1 night

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

5 out of 5
The sloth adventure was the best! Learned so much about these amazing animals. Even went on a canoe ride to see them In the wild. Awesome.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

4 out of 5
It’s cleaned up a lot there. The dolphin swim and Dunn’s river falls was great .

Colon, Panama

4 out of 5
Just went shopping in a little mall. Had lunch at a local restaurant- service took forever. Had to threaten to leave to get our food. Not MSC’s fault .

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Was very pretty for the short time we were there. Only got a few hours due to a medical Emergency onboard.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Another 2-1/2 hrs to get off the ship. But not their fault- 2 immigration agents to process 3000.

Glad you enjoyed most of it. The shortage of immigration agents seems to be an ongoing problem in Miami.
