Review summary

Overall a nice relaxing time. Nothing to extraordinary if it weren't for msc pricing and no single supplement I would not cruise with them but with those caveats it was great.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Super smooth 15 minutes to get through security and board the ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
3rd time on the ship in a year the first cruises after covid the food was horrible thought I would give them one more chance. Food has improved considerably main dining room was good not up to other lines but the price is right. Buffet selection is just OK not great. The chocolate buffet on the last sea day was fantastic.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The comedian was really good the rest of the shoes were very marginal. Pretty much the same thing every night same performers no stage changes just different costumes and songs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Great service throughout the cruise

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Bathrooms can be difficult to find they tend to be tucked into out of the way places with little signage

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Clean standard cruise cabin

Ship tip

It is an economical way to get away especially for solo travel. Don't expect the level of dining and shows that you see on other lines. Nights nothing really gets going until 1030 or later

Ports of call

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

4 out of 5
Mayan ruins well worth the trip. It is a long bus ride the lunch was something I would have had I'm grade school but even so worth every minute.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Don't waste your calories on the buffet go back aboard or have a burger at the beach shack .

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
Buy vanilla if you know or are a cook. National geographic snorkeling was marginal. Not a lot of fish.

Port Canaveral, Florida

I found Divina below par. Was hoping it would have improved. Have not sailed Divina since

I went on the Divina in the first year of her cruising. It sounds like it really hasn't improved much since then. Food was mediocre. Entertainment was quite lacking. Cabin was very nice and price was right. Have not sailed MSC again.

Appreciate your feedback. Happy to hear that things are actually improving since the early sailings of the restart. Glad you mostly enjoyed your cruise.
