Review summary

Terrible food which we were super bummed about. This was our first cruise and everyone always talks about how good the food is on a cruise. The signage was terrible. Providing a map would have been helpful.

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Dinning rooms were ok. The buffet was terrible. Exact same thing every day except maybe one or two small things. Food not good and was also served again at the private island. Breakfast time in the buffet was absolutely crazy.

Sorry your first cruise was disappointing. I hope you have another opportunity and are willing to give cruising another try. Glad you at least tried it. Some people say negative things without even trying.

MSC is a EUROPEAN catered line I sailed on that line 4 times first 2 were 2 day cruises a while ago I vowed never to sail again ,never say never years later I tried again a 11 and 13 days I had a blast, I didn’t care at all for the dining the buffet and pizza had all I needed with that being said I don’t eat beef pork or chicken so I love the variety of non meat offerings, I can see how this can affect a good burger loving meat carnivore, but the decor the friendly staff and the vibe of the sun and sea made it a pleasurable experience, and lastly the private island was my favorite of all the lines, sadly it wasn’t totally completed when I was there, I think royal would be a good fit as a moderate, and if you wanna go budget carnival, I know a lot of people bash carnival but from a budget perspective that’s a good fit

I can see it really hasn't changed since I went in 2017. Sorry you had to have that as your first cruise.

Thanks for the review. Food is obviously subjective. I enjoyed the food on MSC and Ocean Cay.
