Review summary

I had anxiety about possibly getting sea sick and I was surprised that I didn't get sick. I had a wonderful time and I'd love to go on another cruise.

Embarkation

The process seemed to be flawless, but then again I have nothing to compare to as this was my first cruise ever.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The pizza on the buffet wasn't all that great in my opinion. The rest of the food was pretty good. I just wished they would have had more vegetable type salads.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Loved playing Bingo on the 14th deck. The pools and hot tubs were wonderful to soak in for awhile.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved seeing live performances in the theater.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff went above and beyond. I heard this was the first time the ship was full since pre-covid. Made our ship steward was excellent and so was guy that directed the Bingo.

Ship Quality

Loved the beautiful staircase that everyone is talking about. I had pictures taken on them. The areas were very clean.

Ship tip

Have a great time. Enjoy the live entrainment. While on Ocean Cay the process to get an umbrella and floating devices are on the island and you just show them your room key.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
My first time being outside of the US and my experience was that the people are friendly. If you spend US dollars they will give you Bahamian coins which I thought was very cool. There is golf cart outside of the ship with a driver from the island that will give you a ride from the ship to the main area. They only ask for a tip. With my sister's mobility issues that was a blessing. We were the only ship there that day whereas they sometimes have up to five said one local resident. We only went shopping, no excursions this time, maybe next time.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

For being a private island it was wonderful. They had a buffet and other restaurants on the island. My sister and I rented an umbrella and floating devices, you just need to show your room key when you rent them, on the island. They have cute little shops to go shopping as well. My sister and I was at the Lagoon most of the day. I do highly recommend sunscreen. Even though we used sunscreen that was 50 proof I got sunburned bad on my back. We did snorkeling and didn't see anything in the Lagoon.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
A lot smoother than I anticipated. I've never been through customs and the experience was a positive one. We waited until our number to disembark was called and things ran smoothly. We were thankful that we parked early on embankment day.

I just went on the Divina. It was so smooth you didn't even know it was moving. It was the smoothest cruise I ever had. Hats off to MSC!

All cruise ships have stabilisation which prevents rolling. Certainly helps with sea sickness.
