3 days is not long enough to really explore the ship. MSC is definitely a different experience than what I am use to. There are multiple different languages spoken and announcements are made in multiple languages. The muster drill was long and was required to bring life jackets. In my opinion the food in main dining room tastes much better than at buffet. It was an ok cruise. This was my first time exploring MSC.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
Embarkation was long. We waited about 30 to 40 minutes before the line even moved. Then I was sent to another line that didn't move for another 20 minutes. After we got pass security, the line to check in and get keys were long. Seemed like only 5 people were working at the windows.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
I absolutely loved the food in the main dining room, but was was a waiting game to receive food. They do get the kid's meals out pretty fast. I only visited one speciality restaurant which was very good - Butcher's Chop (please prepay online - much cheaper). The buffet, I wasn't particular fond of the food and limited options.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Due to my cruise being 3 days, I didn't get to explore the ship a lot, but from what I saw the activities looked good.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
I only enjoyed the DJ during the sail away party, which was good. I can't speak on shows and other performances because I didn't see them.
Children's Programs
4 out of 5
My daughter loved the kids club. They even take them to the buffet for dinner. The only thing I highly disliked is that the area to check in is small and unorganized.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone was great and polite.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship was great.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Loved the location of the room. It was a nice corner room not far from the elevator.
Ship tip
Pre purchase everything to save money and take a copy of what you purchased with you.
Still has some work (cleaning up to do) but overall very beautiful and relaxing. We didn't get to experience the food or the junkanoo parade due to the weather.
