Thanks for sharing your cruise.

Lobster Pot...me too. My diamond Crown & Anchor points got me Black Card status with way more perks than I would receive on RCCL. MSC could turn out to be my new favorite!

Travelwizard1, we were given the Black (optimum) status on MSC. That resulted in invites to cocktail gatherings, free speciality meals, fruit, champagne & chocolates, embarkation & spa perks, & various discounts. We were extremely surprised and impressed as we don’t get anything like that on NCL where we have acquired the status points.

So happy to hear your positive review. Sail on the Divina in 18 days. It will be my first MSC cruise but most likely not my last. I also was impressed with the status match.

Just got off the Divina on Saturday too.... Hugely impressed and will definitely cruise MSC again. We cruise a lot and as the review says the theatre shows are the best we have seen at sea. Food & drink are fine (compare OK with RCCL & NCL). Galaxy speciality restaurant was excellent, steakhouse only so so. Guests were far more mixed nationalities than with other carriers, ship not dominated by North Americans, in many ways seemed to be a more sophisticated crowd (maybe it was the much smarter attire day and night that created that impression). Be warned though the music on the ship has a massive Latino bent (practically every night had dance lessons followed by a Latin dance party), no idea why as on our trip didn’t seem to have a big Latino crowd. Announcements are made in several languages which is irritating initially but you soon get used to it. TWO formal nights on the ship in the 7 days and the vast majority dressed up accordingly, many in tuxedos, gowns, etc. Because MSC operate a Status Match system we got all sorts of extra perks so they are obviously trying hard to win over frequent cruisers. Have fun.
