Review summary

The shows were our favourite, they were great.

The service in the dining rooms was very good, from our wait staff, to D.R. mgr. they tried to appease us in every request.

The elevators were big issues. The "ding" of an elevator about to open was so low, that with all the people waiting you could not hear them.  We waited sometimes up to 10 minutes to get an elevator that could accommodate a couple of people.

The food left a lot to be desired.  Small portions in the dining room, soups that did not taste or resemble what was described on the menu, desserts that looked and tasted different from description,  seafood over cooked, etc. etc.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The buffets were very nice, plenty of choices. The dining room we ate in, the food, soups, entrées, were very disappointing. Service was very good.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Went to a vegetable carving demo, but you saw him carving and the finished product, there should be a screen and camera showing what and how he was doing this. Watching the back of a watermelon, the 20 minutes later the front doesn't show anything.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were great, The Michael Jackson review was outstanding. The young men running around before the show started harassing the guests were great.

Children's Programs

We only saw the children when they were brought in prior to the shows and they were very well behaved and cute

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our server, Dino at table 504, was very good, the captain George was always looking out for us, and helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Fix the elevators, speed, or more of them for the amount of people.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
For what I perceived as a Voyager Member, I did not feel we received ANY privileges, niceties, or upgrades. Our service cleaning the room was good, but with other cruises, in just ordinary cabin, not balcony, we had folded towels every night made into various animals, etc. fruit, etc.

Ship tip

Be prepared to walk the steps vs. waiting for full elevators. The noise and volume of some of the guests when sitting in the dining room are disrespectful of others at the next table. If so, ask to be moved.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

We joined an independent tour guide, former US Marine, and had a great tour for $20. each. He answered many questions and was very knowledgeable.

Grand Turk Island

Only thing there was shopping at designated shops or the beach, the city and other resorts are a distance away.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
shop and negotiate
