MSC Armonia

7 Night Western Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip)

Sail date: January 27, 2020

Ship: MSC Armonia

Cabin type: Suite

Cabin number: 1045

Traveled as: Family (young children)

Review summary

The ship is comparatively small and old, but if you can find a good deal, it’s worth it. The WiFi package works well. It wasn’t the greatest of ships, but for $299 a person for a week, it’s hard to complain.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was quick and simple

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was decent, but very bland.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
There were signs for mini golf and shuffleboard but they weren’t on the ship. The basketball court and fitness centers were nice

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
Family members’ kids took part in the kids club and the kids had a great time

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The staff was very friendly and helpful overall. Our room steward wasn’t the greatest.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was clean but old. They are doing construction on the ship, which is irritating, but eventually it will be up to par.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and we woke up with headaches everyday due to the bed. The bathroom could use some updating and the bathtub is treacherous to get in and out of. I’m not complaining too much because we did get a free upgrade to a suite

Ports of call

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

5 out of 5
Dunn River Falls and the Chukka ziplining package were amazing! The guides are incredibly helpful and friendly. The falls were breathtakingly beautiful.

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
We went to the Turtle Sanctuary and that was depressing. Gigantic sea turtles in tiny enclosures felt more like a zoo than a sanctuary. The water slide/pool area was fun.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
Beautiful beaches, friendly people, and the bluest water you could hope to see.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

4 out of 5
I’m only giving this a 4 because it was cold and they shut the beach down within 10 minutes of us being there due to a jellyfish. Obviously not anyone’s fault. It is a beautiful island and the people are wonderful.

Disembarkation

2 out of 5
You have to be out of room by 8 am but disembarkation took several hours. It was a mess.

Yes, thanks for sharing. We are sailing on that ship middle of March. Did they have a lot of games and activities going on?

Thanks for sharing. We're going in March. I pray the weather is nice and we get to visit each port.
