Review summary

We had a wonderful cruise. Looking forward to our next cruise on the Allure in June with our whole family.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
From the time we were dropped off to stepping on the ship was about 15 minutes. Super quick and easy!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall, the food was very good. We learned on the first night to order our meat medium well if we wanted it to be medium. The steak on the first night was very rare and cold. Couldn't eat it and didn't bother sending it back because things were so hectic in the dining room. We had plenty else to eat though- so no worries. I really enjoyed the new menus:)

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed using the walking track, playing shuffle board, playing miniature golf, and finding the peek a boo bridge! We really wanted to use the solarium, but there was not a chair to be had by 9am. Lots and lots of chairs with folded towels on them. Signs were posted about not saving chairs, but this was NOT being enforced. We found seats on the deck above the solarium, which ended up being okay, but never got to experience the solarium.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We went to a show every night in the Royal Theater and to the ice show. The ice show and the juggler were fantastic! We did not enjoy the show "Dreams". The other shows were okay.

Children's Programs

No children were with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward, Romeo, was the best! He surprised us with towel animals 4 out of 5 nights and kept our room so nice. Our assistant waiter, Kabelo, was very personable and made me unsweetened tea each night in the MDR. He would say "brewed especially for you by me" as he served it. So nice:) I will say that our first night in the MDR was very hectic, but it just got better each night.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was very clean. The ship's layout was very easy to navigate.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We have always stayed in balcony rooms, but we booked this cruise kinda last minute so we couldn't get a balcony. I was also nervous thinking about it being on deck 2. We loved our cabin!! It was so convenient to the dining room, the theater, and to getting off at ports!

Ship tip

If you want to enjoy the solarium, better get there at sunrise!!

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Grand Turk Island

We went to the beach on the right side. It was a lot more quiet and less crowded than the beach on the left. Such a beautiful port!

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
This was a little overwhelming to me. Lots of people and again couldn't find a chair in the pool area, but we found chairs at the beach. We walked down the nature trail to a very quiet beach and really enjoyed that. The snorkeling at Chill Beach was good first thing in the morning before it got too crowded. The taco bar was yum! The funnel cakes were wow!

Disembarkation

So easy!!! We managed our own luggage so it went very quickly.
