Review summary
We had such a nice, memorable cruise. During our sailing there was a hurricane. The communication from the captain was fabulous. He kept us out of harms way and adjusted our port schedule so we would get the best weather for our port days. This worked out perfect. And we got two extra days at sea because Port Canaveral closed and we could not return until it re-opened. We were very pleased and booked another Royal Cruise on the sister ship to the Mariner next year. Can’t wait!Embarkation

Ship tip
Absolutely book a beach bed on chill island at coco cay and do it early. We are taking a different ship to coco cay in a few months and we could not get one. They were sold out. And if you do get one, get there early to select a beachside bed. The reservation system seemed to assign a bed to us with the reservation but when we arrived we were escorted to the last bed available. The number on the bed did not match the reservation. Seemed to be “first come, first served”.
