Our cruise on the Mariner of the Seas was wonderful. The staff were amazing, friendly and hard-working. I enjoyed the food in all the areas of the ship but loved the speciality restaurants and the main dining room. The solarium area was relaxing and everyone was in good spirits and fun. I loved Bermuda and Coco Cay. I was especially happy to see that there were accommodations for passengers with mobility issues as I was experiencing them for the first time and didn't know what to expect. Do not miss the ice show!!! The week flew by. It was a great vacation.
Embarkation

just ok - we waited about an hour outside the terminal. Having some recent mobility issues made it a little difficult. I had a walker and eventually it looked like they formed a line for handicapped but I wasn't near it. Once we got into the terminal it went better.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Lots of variety in the main dining room and the Windjammer. Some items were really great, others just ok. The specialty restaurants were excellent. We only were able to go for lunch because there were no reservations available when we tried to book the dining package. That made it slightly less enjoyable because it was a lot of food for us to eat midday. The food and beverage manager delivered chocolate chip cookies to our stateroom when a friend asked if they would be having them. That was so special! Great guy and his staff!
Onboard Activities

Solarium cool and whirlpools, trivia, all the shows including the parties on the promenade.
The pool and ice show were my favorites. The other shows were good but I realized I like the bigger ships with the broadway shows, etc.
Entertainment

Ice show -superb
Always enjoy the love and marriage show. Wished they would have done Quest too.
Olympic gymnast and jugglers were good but I enjoy the singers and dancers. Just my taste. All were talented and entertaining.
Service and Staff

Over and above everywhere on the ship! Wonderful service. Noah and Imade were excellent in the main dining room on Floor 4. I didn't see my cabin steward but once but the room was always kept clean. i knew I could get help if I needed it. Floor 5 guest services helpful . I don't drink so didn't interact with the bartenders.

I thought everything was clean and well-maintained. Once whirlpool in the solarium area was finicky.
Cabin / Stateroom

The room and the bathroom met our needs and was kept clean. I was hoping to upgrade to a balcony but it was quite adequate. I loved the location. I was using a walker and could easily get to the 11th floor solarium, the royal theater, the 5th floor, etc.
Ship tip
I was so glad to be able to use the solarium. The main pool seems very crowded. I met such nice people there and in the hot tubs. You have to get up early to get a seat - especially if you want one in the shade.
