We loved sailing on Mariner of the Seas. We enjoyed the ship, the ports and the food.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation went super smooth
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We enjoyed every meal in the main dining room. We made an effort to try something new each night and other than some of the desserts not being what we thought they should be the food was excellent. The choices on the buffet each day were good but there were a couple of days that we didn’t find anything we were interested in eating so we deferred to hamburgers
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We sat by the pool but didn’t partake in any of the other activities
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We attended the Elton John tribute and the comedy juggler and enjoyed both very much
Children's Programs
We were not traveling with children
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All the staff that we interacted with onboard the ship were friendly and outgoing but our dining servers were wonderful!
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
This ship was very easy to get around and the staff took extra care in constantly cleaning/sanitizing. She’s showing her age here and there but not glaringly.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We chose the connecting promenade view interior cabin because we don’t spend a lot of time in the cabin when we cruise but didn’t want to feel boxed in with no windows. The cabin was clean and our cabin attendant very friendly and accommodating. I will say this cabin is a little more narrow so getting our suitcases past the bed was a little tricky. Also, having 2 sofas was nice.
We hired a private driver at the port and he took us everywhere and told us everything about the island. We were surprised At how arid and desert like the island is but enjoyed taking in the sights at our own pace
Of the 3 we enjoyed the lush well landscaped scenery on this island the most. We took a bus tour at the port and were able to tour the Curaçao distillery, Mambo Beach and the cliffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
