Review summary

This was an 80th birthday cruise for my mom with 27 people in 9 different cabins. I was amazed at how many crew members went out of their way to make this trip special for her. Our group ranged from age 6-80 and I think everyone had a good time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Service was amazing, food was great, definitely got the impression that everyone was happy to be back cruising.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Communication needs work! Several of the descriptions didn't match the activities. Mystery room was a let down. Slides were a hit, mini golf was tough, other people didn't want to wait on the kids which was kind of a shame. Casino was not as much fun as usual, very smoky and machines were mostly poker games, we like the bonus game penny slots.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Ice show was amazing, production shows were okay and I'm sure they will improve as the group has more time to work together. Headliners were a bit of a let down but again I feel like this will improve as cruising returns to normal.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Kids club was sporadic at best and not open much during our trip. When it was open, the kids had a great time. Family activities were very poorly planned and location was not in a kid friendly lounge! Other passengers were not happy to see us there and there were not enough supplies so it was not pleasant.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone we encountered was amazing, so very kind and helpful. I truly believe that they were as happy to see us as we were to see them!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Love how much attention was paid to ensuring that everything stayed clean and sanitized. Attitude of everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful and not invasive at all.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Absolutely amazing! Concierge wasn't as helpful as I expected but we were travelling with a large group and not everyone was in a suite. The major disappointment was that we had 2 suites side by side and we were told that the balcony doors could be opened, however, they are welded shut. We were in 9394 and 9694, both 2 bedroom aft suites. We had planned to spend time as a group but neither room was large enough so ended up splitting into smaller groups.

Ship tip

Be kind and be ready to be flexible, things are constantly changing and crew is trying their best to adapt.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

Not enough time

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

Rented cabanas at Chill Island, glad to see that some changes are starting to be made to make island more accessible for those of us with disabilities. Still a ways to go but definitely an improvement over our last visit.

Cozumel, Mexico Did not visit port

Just there in July and didn't want to be off the ship and have to wear a mask all day.

Disembarkation

We were on a back to back and process was very easy.
