Review summary

Great cruise with awesome staff and service. Don’t book excursions with Royal Caribbean….awful experience! Overrated and expensive for what we got!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining was as expected. Didn’t eat in a specialty restaurant.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pool, fitness center were great! Especially enjoyed the solarium pool

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Really enjoyed stage shows! The schooner piano bar was another favorite. Escape room was a blast as was the silent dance party.

Children's Programs

Too old for children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service was outstanding in all areas. More than met my expectations

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Older ship I think. Promenade is small. But overall clean and well maintained. Beautifully decorated for Christmas

Cabin / Stateroom

Very comfortable room. Clean. Sleeping was a little hot. Air conditioning didn’t seem to keep the room cool at night. Needs more USB ports

Ship tip

Bring a personal fan if you need cool temps to sleep.

Excursion was a 4 hour beach day at Blue Lagoon with lunch. But actually it was about two hours with lunch served at 10:30. Most of our time was waiting in lines. I felt misled and will never book an excursion from Royal Caribbean again. I usually use private companies but due to Covid-19, I thought book through the ship would be safer.

Disembarkation

Perfect! Loved being able to stay in room until my time was called. Much better than gathering in large areas to wait.

Glad you enjoyed it. If allowed, it’s almost always better to book independent excursions rather than through the ship. The independent excursions are usually less crowded, last longer and are less expensive than ship excursions.
