Review summary

It was not made clear that the only way to get off the ship in port was to book excursions thru RC due to traveling with an unvaccinated child. We found out via a card left in the door a few hours after we boarded the ship, so obviously RC knew it was not well disclosed either. Had I been aware I would have booked pre-cruise with more options and discounts. Super disappointing. The staff on the ship also gave conflicting information about additional Covid testing required on board for our child and was extremely rude when we asked for further clarification. I would NOT travel with an unvaccinated child. It was so bad my daughter kept apologizing and saying she could just sit in the room.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining was so so, Jamie Oliver’s was fantastic

Onboard Activities

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Not many kids nor kid friendly activities, especially if you have an unvaccinated child.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The guest services team was rude and provided inconsistent information about traveling with an unvaccinated child. The rest of the staff was pleasant. Ruth in Jamie Oliver’s was the best server we’ve ever had fine dining, cruising or elsewhere.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was just spacious enough for two adults and two kids 12 and under. Last cruise in one room though, likely.

Too many people blame the cruise line, when they need to take the responsibility to be informed

Kinda like parents... They make the rules. We obey AND pay for them.

Thanks for the review. Glad you enjoyed most of it. The Covid restrictions are posted on the website and included in emails to travelers and can change quickly. There are many better options for traveling with children currently than cruising. Hopefully those that are traveling in the next few weeks are aware of the restrictions and will make an informed decision of whether to postpone or cruise so they are not disappointed.
