Review summary

We would do this cruise again but maybe at a different time ( we cruised 2nd week in May). There were MANY families with young children. We are retired. LOVE COCO CAY. Hate Nassau.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The smoothest and fastest embarkation we have ever experienced.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food in both the main dining room and buffet was hot and fresh. Service in dining room was excellent.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There was a lot to do on the ship but we did not utilize anything on this cruise. We did enjoy lounging around in the solarium.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Entertainment was just adequate. The cruise director was good, funny, and entertaining.

Children's Programs

No children

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Comfortable clean cabin. Did not enjoy the balcony because of the dead lovebugs and rainy weather. Not Royal Caribbean's fault.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

1 out of 5
We did not get off the ship. We are so tired of Nassau. It is not an interesting port to revisit over and over again. Wish the cruise lines could find a replacement.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
The perfect day at Coco Cat was just that ----- PERFECT, despite a brief rain shower. It was tropical, exciting, relaxing and offered so much to do. It has many food pavilions that it was never crowded. The food and selection are excellent. The bars are plentiful therefore not too crowded. You felt like you were on a vacation island. Love it!! Love it!!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We carry off our own luggage and it was smooth and quick. We were in our car and on the road by 8:15 am.

I think you are correct by going at a different time. Try Sept aannd Oct, the weather is really nice and not so many families at that time :)

Cruises less than 7 days usually have more children. If you want a cruise with no or fewer children, try Viking, Symphony, Crystal or take cruises of 10 days or longer.

Thank you for the review. Always helps me for future cruise choices. I'm also retired.
