Review summary

Went with daughter and grandsons (11 & 13). It was our grandson's first cruise. They loved it so much, they were planning the next one before we left Florida !!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We were through so fast, love the new check in procedure. We only had to wait until the ship was ready - about 15 minutes after checkin. We were onboard by 10:30am

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We only ate dinner in main dining room. Service was excellent, menu variety yet there were a couple 'standards' that were on the menu every night to choose from.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
For grandsons, it was excellent. Pool, rock climbing, basketball court, table tennis, bungee, behind the scenes tour and ice skating.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
most were great and entertaining..... some were boring.

Children's Programs

grandsons did not use it.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
room steward was very attentive, waiters were excellent. Everyone on the ship we came into contact with were very pleasant and accommodating.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
didn't like the layout, but was very clean. Some places were hard to get to.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
small (we typically get a balcony) but wanted to be close to grandsons and daughter.

Ship tip

don't expect to do much onboard shopping... not much available.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

flew in and out of FLL

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
No excursion, just walked around. We have been here MANY times.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
Many improvements in the works. Can't wait to see it completed. Snorkeled with grandsons. No problem finding chairs (and we did not go over early). Didn't like that the 'BBQ' lunch was only during a limited time. Always a line for drinks.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
fast and easy. we took our own luggage off.

From your experience dining in the Main Dining Room Only, do they have a Kids Menu that has more simple American food selections? We are thinking about a cruise with our grown children next year, and we have a daughter with Autism who likes cheeseburgers, chicken strips, french fries, and healthy stuff, too, like steamed veggies and salads with basic raw veggies, baked potatoes, grilled chicken, steak, etc. My Husband and I loved our Main Dining Room 4 on the Symphony of the Seas recently, our first cruise ever! So we are hoping to find a happy medium and forgot to ask our wonderful waiters at table 32 about this when we had the chance! We always loved the great variety and we were open to try new foods and embrace the unique dining experience! Thank you in advance for any information you can pass on regarding this subject!
