Overall the newly Amplified Mariner of the Sea was beautiful. I only wish the updates included the cabins.

Enjoyed the food and service in the main dining room and windjammer. The drink service we enjoyed always took a very long time.

The cruise director, Ricky, was amazing! Th ice show was really good, and the Whitney Houston tribute was exceptional. The broadway style show from the ship’s singers and dancers was not very good. It was amateurish, like amusement park quality... unlike the high-quality shows we’ve experienced on our other cruises.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was clean, but desperately needed to be updated. The bed was hard and lumpy, like a pallet, not a mattress. Our toilet seat looked like it had burn marks or something else because it was stained and melted in places. Simply needed to be replaced.
Ship tip
Be prepared to do a lot of walking. The ship is bigger than it seems.
We didn’t do an excursion in Miami. Instead we checked our luggage in at the airport, and we took a lyft to Bayside Marketplace on Biscayne Bay... Had a great time while we waited for our evening flight!
