Review summary

Even though we had a BAD experience at the port when we went home, it was still VERY relaxing and fun! MOST of the staff is VERY nice! A guy in the windjammer cafe even brought some staff to sing for us when he heard it was our 25th anniversary!

I had a VERY bad experience with people at the terminal. My son had to drive over 3 hours to pick me up and we got off the ship by 8:30am. We had to wait for this amount of time, and when we got off the ship I asked if there was a place we could wait IN THE AIR CONDITIONING and the royal Caribbean employees at the terminal that I asked told me that we would have to go outside and wait IN THE HEAT! It is ridiculous that we had to walk right by about 100 very comfortable chairs IN THE AIR CONDITIONING and not a single person was sitting in them! I used to think that royal Caribbean cares about their customers but now I am thinking they don't care much at all! I was in tears from being so upset about our problem and not a single employee asked us if there is something they can do to help! I totally felt like part of a herd of cattle being shuffled outside OUT OF THEIR HAIR! When we got outside, there wasn't a single place to sit and my back was killing me also from toting all of our luggage and other bags (about 7 or 8 total)!!!!!! We spent 2 HOURS on the ground and during that entire time NOONE asked me what is wrong or if there's anything they could do (and there was probably about 50 or more employees that walked by, more than 1 time each)......until FINALLY a VERY nice lady stopped to comfort me and listen to what I had to say and helped us find a place to sit! I will VERY seriously consider NOT using royal Caribbean when I go on my next cruise! It's VERY disappointing.....especially when I have always bragged on how wonderful this company is!
