Review summary

The ship was large and confusing, customer service was very poor, people were rude, half the elevators were broken and the working ones were constantly packed, we ended up taking the stairs almost every time. Food was HORRIBLE. Room service was even worse! Their in room entertainment was awful and advertised completely wrong. The room smelled musty and gross and the entire experience on the ship was not worth the money, at all. The Bahamas were gorgeous, but as soon as my husband and I returned to the ship we were miserable. We attempted to call and make a complaint. I wrote three separate emails and no one ever responded. I will never take a RC Cruise again, Carnival is a bit cheaper and WAY better in every way. Such a disappointment as this was our wedding anniversary.

Large and confusing lol. Must be use to those tiny carnival ships that get stuck out at sea all the time. My wife was on her first cruise last year (allure) and found that gigantic ship easy to navigate.

We were just on the Mariner in September and found that the food was terrible as well! We are new to cruising, and we enjoyed the ports and the entertainment, but some of the food was nearly inedible. It won't turn me off of another RC cruise, but it was still disappointing.

Carnivals promotion dept. must be posting here. The ship was large and confusing? C'mon you can do better than that. Does anyone really believe the food was "horrible"? And who the he'll goes on a cruise for "in room entertainment"? Either carnival schills or people nobody wants to cruise with anyway.

That ship was our very first cruise and it was awesome!! Have never cruised Carnival and don't plan on it. Have 2 cruises booked on Liberty and looking forward to it. Never had a complaint about out pass cruises

Hahaha, another brand new poster, without a photo, no cruise history and a terrible review of RCI and endorsement of Carnival. Too funny see these time after time.

So sorry you had a bad experience. We have sailed on Mariner twice and had a great time on each trip. Our entire family was with us on one and we were celebrating a college graduation on another. We try to make the most out of every trip, so if anything wasn’t exactly right, we didn’t focus on that.

My family is going on this ship next June. You gave it 3 stars but your review sounds like 1 star. So what was good in your opinion. What made the food bad. We’re NCL cruisers but I’ve been in RC Oasis and it was awesome which is one of the reasons we chose Mariner.
